Hey Everyone,

I haven’t written in such a long time.  I’ve really had not much to write about.  Eric’s latest video had some pretty AWESOME news in it.  Things are actually starting to look like they are turning around for Eric and I.  I have to admit, for awhile, sleeping on that cot every night in his room at the hospital, I wondered if we would ever be living in our house.  I can’t describe the feeling I got when I actually got to watch him walk in, and see what the house looked like when he came home from the hospital.  He hadn’t seen it put together with all of our stuff in it, since I had moved in while he was in getting treatment.  I never slept here, and only used it to take a shower.  We videotaped his reaction coming in and everything.  It was truly an amazing moment.

Last week, my dancers surprised me with something pretty cool.   Knowing that Eric and I probably didn’t have any ornaments for our Christmas tree. (They were right) they got together at the dance studio without me knowing and made some for the tree.  My office assistant stopped by with a huge box of ornaments, and now our tree is fully decorated.   Dancers, these ornaments, I will forever keep and cherish.  They have a ton of meaning to Eric and I.  We are so lucky to have you in our lives.

Last night while teaching dance, something else truly amazing happened.  It literally brought me to tears.   I was teaching my first class, and in walks my aunt, two of my cousins, and my cousin’s son.  They were all carrying bags of groceries, and toilet paper, and various other things that Eric and I are most definitely in need of.  I was so confused as to what was going on.   It was the end of my first class so I had my sister finish up the class and went over to check out what all this was.  My aunt and cousin told me that Lakeshore Orthopedics at Holy Family every year vote on a family to adopt around Christmas, and they bring in things that a family might be in need of.  They picked us.  As I sit here even writing this, I am in tears.  I’m not even sure what to say to something this amazing other than simply, “Thank you.”  We are sooooo unbelievably appreciative of this.  As Eric and I went through the bags and bags of things last night, we were literally speechless.

There are so many people out there who have donated gas cards, and gift cards, and various other things.  Each and every single one of those things are appreciated more than you guys will ever know.  I have never seen so much love and support come out of people.  I am so amazed at how many people out there have shown their love and support for us, and I can honestly say that I love you guys all for it.   You guys out there have made going through this situation so much easier knowing there are so many people out there who care.

Happy Holidays to everyone out there.  I know for Eric and I, this will be one of the best Christmases ever.
